==Gate Opening Times==
The Front Gate tent will be staffed at the following times:

*Thursdays (events 1 and 4 only): 12pm-10pm
*Fridays: 12pm-10pm

When you arrive on site you will be welcomed by members of the Event Team, wearing a yellow hi-vis, who will direct you to the right place to sign in, unload and park. If you are arriving before 12pm, please wait with your vehicle until the gate opens.

If you arrive after 10pm, please go to Event HQ upon arrival where you will be checked in and directed where to park.

It is really important that you check in when you arrive so that we know you are on site in the event of an emergency.

==Day Tickets==

If you are coming to site for the day, the Front Gate may not be staffed when you arrive to check you onto site.

Please go directly to Event HQ where you will be checked in.

If you purchase one of these you must only be on site for the day for which your ticket is valid or you may be charged for another Day Ticket. All cases are judged on an individual basis.

==Vehicle Access and Parking==

The game area of the site will be open to traffic as follows:

*12pm-6pm on Thursday (events 1 and 4 only)
*12pm-6pm on Friday

We aim to allow traffic into the game area approximately 30 minutes after Time Out on the final day of the event. Loading Passes can be obtained from your Faction Team to give you vehicle access to the game area. The Event Team will not grant vehicles access to faction camps without a Loading Pass.

The Car Park will be open at all times, if you are planning on leaving site regularly during the game (e.g. staying offsite), please let the Event Team know and they will help you find a suitable parking spot.

Please make sure you park up in the area you are directed to and please park considerately as we have a lot of vehicles to accommodate.

Unless instructed otherwise, please don’t leave your vehicle in the hardstanding area at Paccar Scout Camp as this is for loading and unloading only.

When you are not on shift, you are free to play the game.

On applying, you may be asked to provide us with a portfolio of your work or details of your experience.

= Game Team =

The Game Team writes/runs plot encounters, plays NPCs and provides referee support for the game.

We typically ask the following:
* 1 year of experience playing Curious Pastimes events, or
* Experience roleplaying within other systems.
* You join the team for a minimum of 1 year.

We understand the game and its lore is vast. You do not need to know everything to join the team.

On Game Team, you get the opportunity to play all kinds of different characters - diplomats, traders, monsters, strange other planar beings, gods and much more. To support this, we are always looking for a diverse crew and often find we are short of people of colour, people that can play femme-presenting characters and non-binary folx. We are keen to see all of our playerbase reflected in the team.

We understand that everyone has different energy levels, capabilities and interests. It is vital that our volunteers enjoy the roles they play.

You also have the opportunity to become a referee and to get involved in writing plot, designing encounters and generally help to make our stories real.

Our Bar Team is responsible for serving drinks, restocking, using the POS system and generally keeping the tavern clean and tidy.

This team arrives on site ahead of their first shift, which will be allocated prior to arrival on a rota basis based on your availability, and are allowed to camp/bunk in the staff area.

There is also the option to join the team to help with set up and/or take down of the bar.

Outside their shifts, bar staff are free to play the game.

= Game Team =

The Game Team writes/runs plot encounters, plays NPCs and provides referee support for the game.

We typically ask the following:
* 1 year of experience playing Curious Pastimes events, or
* Experience roleplaying within other systems.
* You join the team for a minimum of 1 year.

We understand the game and its lore is vast. You do not need to know everything to join the team.

On Game Team, you get the opportunity to play all kinds of different characters - diplomats, traders, monsters, strange other planar beings, gods and much more. To support this, we are always looking for a diverse crew and often find we are short of people of colour, people that can play femme-presenting characters and non-binary folx. We are keen to see all of our playerbase reflected in the team.

We understand that everyone has different energy levels, capabilities and interests. It is vital that our volunteers enjoy the roles they play.

You also have the opportunity to become a referee and to get involved in writing plot, designing encounters and generally help to make our stories real.

Bar tabs are held within your player account and can be managed online via our website. If you don't already have a tab, you can set one up by visiting the ‘Tavern Tab’ section on your account page on the Curious Pastimes website.

Tabs can be set up before or during events. If set up before the event, your tab number will be on your character card.

Bar Tabs can be reviewed and paid via your account on the website. Simply log in and look for the Tavern Tabs menu option on the left hand side of the screen. Clicking on that tab will take you through to a page which will show the available Bar Tabs and by clicking on view you will see outstanding amounts and options to pay directly.

All purchases charged to your tab can be seen on your account so you can track what you have spent.

Tabs can be pre-loaded, or have a limit applied to them. As a default we allow tabs to be preloaded with up to £50 and they typically have a credit limit of £100 before needing to be cleared.

Group tabs can be opened for families/groups/couples and linked to a single account.

You will need to show your bar tab card each time you want to add items to your tab.

As usual, all tabs will need to be settled in full by two weeks after each event unless other arrangements have been agreed with Curious Pastimes.

That the bar will be card, cash or tabs only during the event.

Please make sure you clear any outstanding bar tabs before coming to an event or you may be refused entry until it has been paid. This can be done online through the Tavern Tabs section in your account.

Paccar Scout Camp is a 60 acre camp site set in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside, close to historic Chalfont St. Peter. It is only 30 mins from London and close to Heathrow Airport.

==Weston Park==

Weston Park is a remarkable House set in 1,000 acres of Capability Brown parkland. Curious Pastimes only hire part of this site so it is important you follow the directions provided to access the correct area.

===Getting to site===

We have a dedicated site entrance to be used to access the site.
*This means that you will not be able to access the event through the main Weston Park entrance.
*When arriving at Weston Park please use the Shrewsbury Gates entrance.

Due to the rural location of Weston Park, there isn’t a postcode that you enter into your satnav that will take you directly to the Shrewsbury Gates entrance. Here are some suggestions that may help you to find us:
*Postcode TF11 8PX: this will take you closer to the correct gate still won’t get you exactly there.
*Map: The map below shows the gate location (the star on the map) and the entrances to avoid.

Please be aware that the part of the site we are using may not be close to the entrance gates. This is a large site and we will only be using a small part of it for our events.

===Where to go===

We are likely to be using the site differently at each event held at Weston Park. We will make sure there are signs directing you to where you need to go when you arrive on site.

===Leaving Site at Night===

The main gate to site will be locked from midnight every night, using a coded lock.

Please speak to the Event Team at Event HQ if you require the code before leaving site or need any help managing the lock and gates.

===Event Front Gate===

The Front Gate for the event will be located on the edge of the Out of Character camping field.

When arriving on site, you will need to follow the signposted road until you are met by members of the Event Team. Please be aware that we might not be using the same area on site for each event so please follow the signs carefully.

If you have pre-booked your tickets, you will be checked in from your vehicle.

If you are paying for your ticket on the gate, you will be directed where to park so you can buy your tickets at the front gate tent.

Members of the Event team, wearing yellow hi-vis, will help direct you as you move through the site so you can unload, park your vehicle and pitch your tents in the right areas.

Whilst the site has excellent drainage and we do not foresee any issues. If the weather is particularly bad and we have to limit vehicle access to the In Character field, we will be organising multi-vehicle shuttle runs from the nearest hardstanding to the In Character field for player kit.

Please be aware that tents are not allowed in the car parking field.

===On-Site Facilities===

Weston Park doesn’t have permanent provision for an event of our size. As such, we hire in the facilities we need.

Infrastructure we bring in for the event:
*Generators for power
*Plumbing for toilets, showers and sinks
*Plumbing around the site for standpipes to provide drinking water

Facilities provided:
*Toilet blocks with urinals and cubicles
*Accessible toilets with ramped access, wider doors and changing tables
*Portaloos will be available around site
*Shower blocks
(Individual accessible showers
*Sinks for handwashing will also be provided outside of the toilet blocks

Please do not use the sinks for washing crockery and cutlery as we do not have the drainage to handle this type of waste water.
