Event Team

Our Event Team is essential to making the game run smoothly and safely. They handle all the real world, behind the scenes activities that support our team, our players and keep the game safe for everyone.

The Event Team arrives the day before the gate opens to make sure we are ready to welcome players to our events.


Site Arrival and Departure

This table sets out when you are expected to be on site.

Event Arrival Departure
Event 1 Wednesday prior to the start of the event Monday after the end of the event
Event 2 Thursday prior to the start of the event Sunday after the end of the event
Event 3 Thursday prior to the start of the event Sunday after the end of the event
Event 4 Wednesday prior to the start of the event Monday or Tuesday after the end of the event


What the role involves

As a member of the Event Team, your role will include the following activities:

  • Managing player arrivals and departures. This may include:
  • Traffic management
  • Staffing the front gate
  • Car parking
  • Incident response
  • Managing radios
  • Managing safety on battles and skirmishes
  • Restocking site facilities
  • Overseeing the training and use of weapons, bows and siege weapons


You will also be expected to attend planning meetings between events where possible and keep yourself up to date with the relevant Curious Pastimes policies and procedures.
