| Description | The character specialises in creating mechanical devices, including locks, traps, clockwork and other intricate mechanisms.
With access to a jeweller's bench and a cost in work units and materials, the character can craft mastercrafted quality mechanical devices. Note that this skill covers mechanical traps, such as poison needles and blades, while the Trapper skill covers field traps, such as pit traps and snares. A mechanician can design and build mechanical components that a trapper can then incorporate into field traps for greater effect. With research, the character can learn to craft more complex mechanisms. Note: This skill grants 5 Work Units per day. The number of work units the character can benefit from each day depends on their cap. See Magic Points, Stamina and Work Units for more. |
