Game Team

The Game Team writes/runs plot encounters, plays NPCs and provides referee support for the game.

We typically ask the following:

  • 1 year of experience playing Curious Pastimes events, or
  • Experience roleplaying within other systems.
  • You join the team for a minimum of 1 year.

We understand the game and its lore is vast. You do not need to know everything to join the team.

On Game Team, you get the opportunity to play all kinds of different characters - diplomats, traders, monsters, strange other planar beings, gods and much more. To support this, we are always looking for a diverse crew and often find we are short of people of colour, people that can play femme-presenting characters and non-binary folx. We are keen to see all of our playerbase reflected in the team.

We understand that everyone has different energy levels, capabilities and interests. It is vital that our volunteers enjoy the roles they play.

You also have the opportunity to become a referee and to get involved in writing plot, designing encounters and generally help to make our stories real.

Site Arrival and Departure

This table sets out when you are expected to be on site

Event 3 From Friday (or Thursday if helping with set up) prior to the start of the event Sunday after the end of the event
Event 4 From Thursday (or Wednesday if helping with set up) prior to the start of the event Monday after the end of the event
