Name Armoured Caster
Cost 8 points
Prerequisites Light Armour and any spellcasting skill
Key Words Archetype / Warrior / Stamina
Description The character can cast spells and perform rites as though they were wearing armour one level lighter, by paying stamina equal to the magic points spent to cast the spell. That is, they may:
  • Cast a lesser spell in heavy armour
  • Cast a greater spell or rite in medium armour — but not heavy armour
  • Cast an exalted spell in light armour — but nothing heavier

For example: a greater elementalist with this skill, wearing medium armour, could cast an elemental missile for the cost of 2 stamina and 2 magic points.

The spell or rite must be known to the character, and they must have the relevant armour skill.

Note: The number of stamina points the character receives each day depends on how many skills they know that use them, see Magic Points, Stamina and Work Units.
