Description | The character can, with access to a jeweller’s bench and at a cost in work units and materials, cut gems to increase their value and magical potential, and etch them to “seal” the magic contained in them for a specific effect.
The character can also polish etched gems, maintaining their properties. With research, the character can learn other cuts and seals, including second and third cuts and seals for other spells – or other effects entirely. The number of work units the character receives each day depends on how many skills they know that use them, see Magic Points and Work Units. |
